November 2019 MCQSC Special Update: Maryland v. FAA Summary and Link to Oral Arguments

A huge THANK YOU to all community members who took the time to attend the oral argument in Maryland v FAA this morning at the federal courthouse in Washington, DC..  It was a great show of support.

As predicted, the argument centered mostly on the timeliness of the challenge - specifically, whether Maryland could establish "reasonable grounds" for filing its legal challenge beyond the 60-day statute of limitations.  The court did ask a couple of questions about the merits of the case, but definitely not a lot of in-depth questions.

We know many of you listened in on the live stream and many others who could not listen in have asked for an update of the argument.  Given our time constraints, we cannot answer each email individually, but you can listen to the argument here:   https://www.cadc.uscourts.gov/recordings/recordings2019.nsf/C4083218A9D1D1D9852584B2005C84D6/$file/18-1173.mp3

We obviously won't know anything until the court makes its decision, which could be months.

Thanks again to everyone who attended!
