Injurious Noise

“Calling noise a nuisance is like calling smog an inconvenience. Noise must be considered a hazard to the health of people everywhere.”

– US Surgeon General William H. Stewart, 1978

Residents in Montgomery County and the Washington, DC region are suffering from the health problems caused by airplane highways overhead. The constant noise affects people in communities as far as 25 miles from Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA).

Our Mission

The Montgomery County Quiet Skies Coalition was established to mitigate the severe aircraft noise pollution harming households that live under the flight path of Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA).

The coalition works with government officials to ameliorate the problems at DCA and is joining forces with advocacy groups across the nation that are fighting to fix the harmful mismanagement of the airspace over our homes, schools, parks and places of worship.
